Winter Arts Festival
The Recreation & Fitness Committee is thrilled to introduce the Bonfield Winter Festival, a brand-new event celebrating Bonfield’s cultural diversity, heritage and historical significance. We are proud to acknowledge the support of the Ontario Arts Council and the Government of Ontario for making this event a reality. The Festival will begin Friday February 7th with Rendez-Vous, who will showcases traditional Métis fiddle tunes, Métis individual/group dances, Métis, French and Irish lyrical songs.
While the festival celebrates our rich heritage, it also looks ahead to the future with innovative art installations in Kaibuskong Park. The Recreation & Fitness Committee has issued a call to artists who are inspired to blend tradition with creativity through these installations. Stay tuned for more details!
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ontario Arts Council and the Government of Ontario for their ongoing commitment to amplifying the value of the arts across the province. Your investment in creative initiatives enriches lives, fosters connection, and strengthens our communities.
A special thank you to our local MPP, Vic Fedeli for championing arts and culture in Ontario. We’re excited to see the transformative impact this funding will bring to Bonfield.
